The Laughing Gull is found from Nova Scotia to Venezuela. They nest on barrier beaches. The Laughing Gull has a brown head and a dark brown body. Its scientific name is Larus atricilla. The Laughing Gull’s domain is Eukaryote. Its kingdom is Animalia. Its phylum is Chordata. Its class is Aves. Its order is Charadriiformes. Its family is Laridae. Its genus is Larus. The Laughing Gull’s species is atricilla. It has bilateral symmetry and it is heterotrophic. The Laughing Gull is endothermic. A fun fact about the Laughing Gull is the female only lays three eggs per season! The Laughing Gull eats almost anything, from items humans throw off their boats to insects! This organism’s predator includes the tiger shark, and many other sharks that can be found on the barrier beaches.
