human and octopus

North American Octopus
(Enteroctopus dofleini)The North American Octopus lives in tidal pools under boulders, North Pacific Ocean, and California North Alaska. Its Domain is Eukarya and its Kingdom is Animalia. The North American Octopus Has a Phylum Mollusca. Their Class is Cephalopoda. The order of a North American Octopus is Octopoda. The North American Octopus”s Family is Octopodidae and their Enteroctopus. Which Makes their Species dofleini, Which makes their scientific name Enteroctopus dofleini. The North American Octopus has radial symmetry. They are shy except for when it comes to hunting food and eating it. They can fit into tiny holes smaller than themselves due to not having a spinal cord. A behavioral adaptation it has is their ink splatter. When ever something or someone looks alarming such as the North American Octopus' predators, it will burst a black cloud of ink to block the sight of its predator and escape. Another adaptation is their ability to change their skin color to look like its surroundings. This helps the octopus survive because it doesn't pop out like the other animals to predators. one more adaptation is there ability to fit through a small space. This helps them because they can escape a predator by squishing through a small hole in a stone or coral.    picture from www.nbcconecticut.com

Human
(Homo sapiens)
The Homo sapiens is an overpopulated animal that has destroyed half of wild life. They live any where but the north and south pole and Antarctica. Its Domain is Eukarya, its Kingdom is Animalia, its Phylum is Chordata, and its Class is Mammalia. Its Order is Primates, its Family is Hominidae, and its Genus is Homo. Which leads to the species, which is Homo sapiens. The human has bilateral symmetry. A behavioral adaptation is their intelligence. Humans are very smart. this helps a human survive by not poisoning themselves or choosing to jump off a cliff without a parachute because it would be "fun". Another structural adaptation is their hands. Humans and gorillas and monkeys have a special kind of hand that can hold something securely. This helps them survive because they can hold food or weapons that help them catch food. A behavioral adaptation that some Homo sapiens use is creating a tribe. This helps humans survive because they are in a pack and don't loose each othe ror kill one another unless it is necessary.
