Eastern Oyster (Crassostrea virginica)
The Eastern Oysters scientific name is The Ostreidae.The habitat of this organism is a saltwater enviroment, this animal can live all around.The domain-Eukarya; kingdom-Animalia;phylum-Mollusca;class-Bivalvia;order-Osteroida;family-Ostereidae;genus- Crassostrea;speicies. This organism has asymmetry, which means this animal has no symmetry at all.
The Eastern Oyster has a black, tan, silver, yellow, and brown shell color. The shell is also very sharp. Three adaptations of this animal are :They can serve in up to 10ppt to 28ppt: They can also filter water around them: And last but not least they have a sharp shell to protect the organism. The prey of this organism are plankton and nutrience from the water. The predators of this organism are, humans and birds.
This organism is heterotrophic, which means that it is not a producer and that it is a consumer.
