Hermit Crab(Dardanus calidus)
The Hermit Crabs scientific name is Dardanus calidus. The habitata of this organism are beaches and marshes. The domain is Eukarya, the kingdom is Animalia, the phylum is Arthrpoda,and the class is Malacoatraca. The order is Decapoda, the family is Paguroidea, and the genus is Dardanus, and last but not the species is Culidus. The discription and characterisics- They have a small shell to keep them safe because they are a small animals. They can keep themselfs safe by pinching their predators and and they also have a shell to keep them safe with the addition of having a lot of little legs to run fast. The predators of the Hermit crab are humans and birds. Their prey are tiny fish or shrimp and plants. They are heteratrophic and a cool fact about the hermit crab is that they don’t only live in the wild they can be pets.
