Clam (Cyrtopleura Costata)
The clams scientific name is cyrtopleura costata. The habitatas for this organism are beaches, estuaries, and swamps. The domain for this organism is Eukarya, the kingdom is Animalia, phylum is Mollusca, class is Bivalvia, order is Myoicla, family is Pholadiclae, and the Genus is Cyrtopleura and last but not least the species is costata.
Adaptations- They are a good size for eating and they have a shell to protect themand and their shell is pointy. The characteristics of this animal are it is pretty big, it digs deep in the sand and they come in all different shapes and sizes. Their prey areplants and their predators are humans birds and racoons. The clam is heteratrophic and a cool fact about them is that under the shell the actual animal is gowy.
